Meet the Guys Behind Theology of Games

Jeremiah Isley

Jeremiah Isley is on staff at a local university in the AV Department.

Jeremiah’s love of gaming was sparked in the mid 90′s when a friend introduced him to Marvel Overpower, “While all the cool kids were playing Magic the Gathering, I was chasing the rare Wolverine character card.”.

Known to his gamer friends as the guy with the renowned “Nerd Room”, a room in his home that has pretty much been taken over by games and gaming supplies, due to Jeremiah’s attempt to run an eBay store for about a year. Jeremiah’s gaming interests include pretty much any board game, as well as several “Dead” or out of print collectible card games.

Scott Firestone IV

Scott Firestone IV is a curriculum and magazine editor at Group Publishing, and a lay leader in his church's youth ministry.

He always loved games, but didn’t know there was anything beyond Monopoly until he walked into a game store and accepted the invitation to come to a game night. He played High Society and Goa that first night, and his head nearly exploded with joy.

Since then he’s collected over 500 games and expansions, and he plays some of them every Tuesday night with a bunch of friends.

He’s always ready to try something new…
