Kickstarter Weekly, June 24, 2019

It’s hard to believe one month of summer is almost gone! We hope you’re having some fun summer adventures. Some of those adventures might involve board games, so it’s a great time to look at a couple of campaigns on Kickstarter right now.

Endeavor: Age of Sail was one of the best games I played last year. It’s a game about exploring the world, and gaining power before your opponents. And the streamlined gameplay and expanded gameplay from the first edition makes this even better. And now designer Jarratt Gray is giving us even more gameplay in the first full expansion for his hit game. Age of Expansion comes with 45 new Buildings and seven new decks of cards, making the gameplay completely new. New actions include Trade, Fortify, and Conscription—and Prominence tiles change the way each game plays, as well. And the price point is very reasonable. We’re looking forward to trying this out!

Pricing: $27, plus shipping

Campaign Ends: July 2

Expected Delivery: February 2020

Heists are fun, but they’re tough to craft, so this creative co-op came up with a super fun idea: It’s a system-agnostic collection of 25 different heists to drop into whatever RPG campaign you’re running. There are numerous different types, including a standard bank job, breaking into a wizard’s tower, a science fiction job, and more. Each heist comes with a detailed map, game hooks, enemies, getaway ideas, and more. You can download a free 3-heist preview to check it out before dropping any cash on it.

Pricing: $20 for the PDF, or for $30 you get the PDF and coupon for a print-on-demand hardcover copy, delivered via DriveThruRPG. You pay the print and shipping costs, but it’s still a savings over what the retail price of the book will be, and it staggers the costs over a whole year.

Campaign Ends: July 15

Expected Delivery: July 2020

That’s it for this week! Thanks for reading!
